  • If you're worried about your mental health and require urgent support, please don’t struggle alone:

    • Contact your GP (during opening hours) and request an urgent appointment.

    • Call 999 or attend your nearest Accident & Emergency (A&E) department in an emergency.

    • For non-life threatening concerns, you may phone NHS 111 or contact NHS 111 online service here.

    • To talk about anything that’s upsetting you, you can phone the Samaritans any time of day, all year around on 116 123

    • If you prefer not to speak on the phone, you can text SHOUT on 85258 (available 24-7)

    • NHS TALKING THERAPY: If you are aged 18 and over, you can access free NHS Talking Therapies for common mental health difficulties e.g. Anxiety, Depression, OCD. You can self-refer to your local service, which can be found here

    • HERTFORDSHIRE MIND NETWORK: Provide a diverse range of services and support including counselling, peer support, activities and information. For more information, click here

    • THE COUNSELLING FOUNDATION: Is a charity service offering low cost counselling for adults across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, click here for more details.
